Community Service
The practitioners at the Barnet Tradepost Wellness Center strive to meet the needs of the community in their personal lives as well as in their practices. The following is a sampling of the community outreach projects embraced by the Tradepost practitioners.
Lj Stewart and Caledonia Animal Rescue
Lj Stewart, owner of the Barnet Tradepost Wellness Center, is a lifelong dog lover, a passionate defender of animal rights and
a proactive educator of dog owners. Lj also serves on the board of Caledonia Animal Rescue (CARe). The Tradepost serves as the voicemail service for CARe.
In addition, needy dogs are fostered on the Tradepost property, in a location separate from the Wellness Center.
Caledonia Animal Rescue was founded in 1996 by a group of concerned, animal-loving citizens. CARe is an
all-volunteer organization with no paid staff. Board members and friends meet monthly to share ideas on possible future projects
as well as ways to expand and improve upon existing programs.
CARe believes that the kindness and respect shown to animals has a direct and significant relationship
to human interaction. CARe is dedicated to promoting public awareness of both animal welfare and the responsibilities of pet
ownership and to advocating the compassionate treatment of all living things.

Amy Wheeler and Barry Fudim
Barry Fudim serves on the board of the St Johnsbury Food Co-Op and is a past vice-president. He was also an integral part of the planning committee for the very successful 2009 St Johnsbury Maple Festival.
Amy Wheeler has been a hospice volunteer through Caledonia Home Health & Hospice in St Johnsbury since 2008. Amy has made patient visits and provided bereavement follow-up and contributes to the program's "Sweet Relief", making baked goods for hospice patients and their families.
Jack Stewart
Jack Stewart is an enthusiastic volunteer in the Barnet school system. Jack recently received this Community Volunteer Award from the Barnet School.
