Introduction to Kado-Ikebana

Workshop with Lj Stewart
Sept 19
2 – 4:30pm
Barnet Tradepost Wellness Center

“Kado” in Chinese means “The Way of the Flowers” and began in China over 2300 years ago. When it was introduced and assimilated into Japan, the Japanese word “Ikebana” arose, meaning “living or natural flowers”. Kado-Ikebana is beautiful and ultimately becomes a contemplative practice.

Lj Stewart will instruct participants in the basic art and principles of Kado-Ikebana. Plant materials and necessary supplies will be provided for participants to create their own arrangements.

Register in advance by emailing: lj@barnettradepost.com

Registration must be received by 9/13/26.

$25 cost includes a non-refundable materials fee.
Flowers are yours to keep following the workshop, but all loaned equipment will be retained at BTWC.
